Information About D2-FILL

The D2-FILL filler panel from Automation Direct is specifically engineered for use with 205 Series I/O bases, providing a reliable placeholder in unused module slots. Its main function is to maintain the mechanical integrity of the system while preventing dust ingress, accidental contact, or misalignment within the rack. Constructed in a durable housing and supplied with a built-in cover, this module ensures that open positions are safely blocked off, which also supports ventilation and optimal layout. Measuring 2.0 in x 2.0 in x 4.0 in (5.1 cm x 5.1 cm x 10.2 cm), the D2-FILL fits seamlessly into standard I/O chassis dimensions and preserves consistent module spacing.

Key Features:

• Filler Module for 205 Series: Designed to occupy unused slots in the 205 Series I/O bases, ensuring modular completeness and protecting internal components from exposure.
• Durable Construction with Cover: Built-in cover provides physical protection for adjacent modules and helps maintain system cleanliness and longevity.
• Maintains Proper Spacing: Preserves the spacing required for heat dissipation and structural balance within the I/O chassis or enclosure.
• Universal Mechanical Fit: Sized to match standard 205 Series modules with a physical footprint of 2.0 x 2.0 x 4.0 inches (5.1 x 5.1 x 10.2 cm), ensuring quick and tool-free installation.
• Safety and Aesthetics: Enhances safety by covering open terminals and contributes to a clean, professional appearance of the control cabinet.

The D2-FILL is an essential accessory for structured and secure I/O system configurations, helping to protect equipment while maintaining modular organization.
