Compatibility Notes

• Requires NVMe-enabled backplane (U.2/U.3 / SFF-8639)
• U.3 tri-mode compatible (works in most U.2 bays with proper controller support)
• Gen4 speeds require tri-mode HBA/RAID or direct CPU PCIe lanes
• Gen3 systems will limit performance to ~3,500 MB/s

---

Important Deployment Notes

• Drive Tray: If sourced with HPE carrier, remove and install into Supermicro 2.5" NVMe tray (e.g., MCP-220-00147-0B tool-less bracket)
• Backplane Type: Supermicro Ultra / Hyper systems support U.3 natively
• Controller Support: Ensure tri-mode or U.3-compatible controller for full compatibility

---

Key Features

• Enterprise-grade PCIe Gen4 NVMe performance
• U.3 interface with backward compatibility to U.2 infrastructure
• Optimized for read-intensive workloads and high-density storage
• Ideal for modern Supermicro data center and cloud platforms
