The SFP-1020-LR is the newer transceiver replacing older SFP-1010-LR. The new transceiver can be safely paired with older SFP-1010-LR ones.
The SFP-1020-LR is a long range single mode 10G SFP+ optical module compatible with the 10GBase-LR specifications.
It uses a Fabry-Perot laser transmitter at 1310nm. Line rate of transceiver is 10.3125Gbps.
Tested and found compatible on various 10G Ethernet switches from Cisco, Juniper, Force10, Edge-Core and other manufacturers.
