The Fuji Electric V1K27A01 is a 230/460/575V DV/DT output filter — UL Type 1 enclosed construction for panel or free-standing installation in clean, indoor environments — for use with Fuji FRENIC series variable frequency drives (rated 20A at 460V).
DV/DT output filters are installed on the VFD output side, between the drive's output terminals and the motor, to limit the rate of voltage rise (dV/dt) on the motor cable. High-frequency PWM switching produces voltage pulses with very fast rise times, creating voltage reflections on long motor cables due to impedance mismatch. These reflections cause voltage spikes at the motor terminals that can reach twice the DC bus voltage — stressing motor winding insulation and shortening motor life, particularly in standard (non-inverter-duty) motors.
The V1K27A01 smooths these voltage edges, keeping dV/dt within safe limits (typically ≤500 V/μs) and suppressing motor terminal overvoltage. This extends motor insulation life, reduces audible motor noise, and is essential for installations with long cable runs (typically over 50–100 feet) between VFD and motor, or wherever non-inverter-duty motors are driven by a VFD. Compatible with FRENIC-Mini (C2), FRENIC-Ace (E2), and FRENIC-MEGA series drives. UL listed.
