The Fuji Electric DB7.5-2 is a braking resistor for use with Fuji FRENIC series variable frequency drives.

When a VFD decelerates a motor, the motor acts as a generator and returns energy to the drive's DC bus. Without a braking resistor, this regenerative energy causes the DC bus voltage to rise and trigger an overvoltage fault, preventing controlled stopping. The DB7.5-2 dissipates this regenerative energy as heat, enabling fast, repeatable, and controlled motor deceleration without tripping the drive.

Suitable for applications requiring quick stop capability including conveyors, hoists, centrifuges, and winding machinery.
