The Fortinet FN-TRAN-SX is a 1 Gbps SFP transceiver developed by Fortinet. It features an LC duplex connector, supports multimode fiber (MMF), and operates at an 850nm wavelength. The form factor is Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) with support for transmission speeds up to 1 Gbps.

This transceiver allows for data transmission over distances of up to 500 meters using OM2 or higher grade MMF cabling. It integrates into compatible network switches, routers, and firewalls equipped with standard SFP ports that accept SX modules. No external power supply is required beyond what the host device provides through the SFP interface slot; mounting depends on hot-swappable port designs in modular hardware systems.

Fortinet FN-TRAN-SX: 1 GE SFP transceiver module, short range 500m, LC connector, MMF, 850nm, -20°C to 85°C, for systems with SFP slots.
