Diagnose the Network Before Replacing the Card
Loss-of-comms symptoms — a processor missing from the <I> screen, intermittent Stage Link errors, a station that will not join the network — point at the whole ARCNET segment, not just this board. Because it is a shared bus, one weak point affects everyone on the wire. Check in this order:
