The Cisco Catalyst 9200 Series extends Cisco's Catalyst 9000 intent-based networking to entry campus and branch access, built on the UADP 2.0 Mini ASIC so the hardware carries investment protection as the network grows. The modular-uplink C9200 takes a field-installable network module, and on the PXG models the module can go up to 25G or 40G, matching the multigigabit access ports with a high-speed uplink. The C9200-24PXG-A pairs eight multigigabit ports with the modular uplink slot at the Network Advantage tier, which is what separates it from the otherwise-identical Network Essentials C9200-24PXG-E. Network Advantage adds advanced campus routing, gateway redundancy, and policy-based segmentation. Field-replaceable fans and an optional second power supply keep it serviceable in always-on wiring closets.
