The Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series is Cisco's lead stackable enterprise access platform in the Catalyst 9000 family, built on the UADP 2.0 ASIC for investment protection and high-density stacking. The C9300L is the fixed-uplink member of the series, with built-in SFP uplinks rather than the modular network module of the C9300, and Cisco positions it as the successor to the end-of-sale Catalyst 3650. The C9300L-48PF-4X-E is the 48-port full-PoE+ configuration with 10G uplinks at the Network Essentials tier; the PF designation and larger default power supply give it more PoE headroom than the standard 48P, and its tier separates it from the otherwise-identical Network Advantage C9300L-48PF-4X-A. Network Essentials covers Layer 2 switching with routed access for a single-tier campus design. Redundant fans and dual power supplies provide resilience in always-on deployments.
