Overview
The AEMC 2135.23 Model 4630 is a digital ground resistance tester kit engineered for precision earth ground measurements. This unit facilitates two- and three-point fall-of-potential testing, as well as four-point soil resistivity measurements. The instrument is designed to maintain accuracy in environments with significant stray currents by rejecting high levels of electrical interference. The tester features an auto-ranging capability for measurements between 0 and 2000Ω and provides an LED interface to alert the operator to fault conditions, such as high auxiliary rod resistance or high-input noise.
Key Features
-
Auto-Ranging Measurement: Automatically selects the optimal range between 0 and 2000Ω, simplifying the testing process for varied soil conditions.
-
Interference Rejection: Designed to filter out high levels of stray current, allowing for accurate readings in electrically noisy environments.
-
Multi-Method Testing: Supports two-point, three-point, and four-point testing configurations to accommodate specific site requirements and soil resistivity analysis.
-
Operator Feedback System: Includes an LED readout on the faceplate that immediately identifies high-input noise, high auxiliary rod resistance, or improper connections.
-
Rechargeable Power System: Operates on a 9.6-V 3.5-Ah NiMH battery pack, which supports continuous usage and allows for operation during the charging cycle.
