Frequently Asked Questions
What does Registrable / Unclaimed mean on a FortiSwitch?
The unit is not registered to another account, so you can register it to your FortiCare account, buy support and manage it from a FortiGate.
What does Local Management Only mean?
The switch works fully as a standalone switch managed through its own interface, but it is sold without the ability to register it for FortiCare support.
What is the difference between POE and FPOE FortiSwitch models?
POE models power a subset of ports or have a smaller PoE budget; FPOE (full PoE) models deliver PoE+ on every copper port with a larger total budget.
