Frequently Asked Questions
Are refurbished ProLiant Gen9 servers still a good choice?
For many virtualization, file and lab workloads, yes — a DL360 or DL380 Gen9 with E5-2600 v4 processors offers many cores and memory slots at a low price. For new deployments needing current security features, Gen11 or Gen12 is better.
Can you build an HPE server to my configuration?
Yes — send the workload or the exact CPU, memory, storage and network requirements and we quote the complete, tested build.
What is the difference between DL360 and DL380?
The DL360 is a 1U server for density; the DL380 is 2U with more drive bays, PCIe slots and GPU options.
